THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2019: Our motorcoach will arrive at Lorain Lighthouse United Methodist Church, 3015 Meister Road, Lorain, at 7:45 AM.  We will load luggage and depart at 8:00 AM.  There will be a stop at a rest area on the Ohio Turnpike at approximately 10:00 AM for those who may wish to stretch their legs and have a small snack.  Lunch today is on your own at the Pine Grill Restaurant in Somerset, Pennsylvania. We will travel all afternoon with another rest stop after lunch on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.  Upon arrival in Lancaster, we will check into our hotel, the WINGATE BY WYNDHAM and shortly thereafter we will depart for dinner and a performance at THE DUTCH APPLE DINNER THEATER.  THE WILL ROGERS FOLLIES, A LIFE IN REVIEW offers a heartwarming look into the life of humorist Will Rogers, who could spin a rope, poke fun at the headlines of the day, and as he always said "he never met a man he didn't like."  It is the rags-to-riches story of America's beloved humorist, journalist and friend of presidents.  The show features a Ziegfeld Follies-style extravaganza that will have you tappin' your toes to the songs of the day. 

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 2019:  After breakfast today, we will depart for the MENNONITE INFORMATION CENTER in Lancaster.  We will view a 17-minute movie entitled "We Believe" which presents five core values of the Mennonites.  We will also have a 45-minute tour of the BIBLICAL TABERNACLE REPRODUCTION.  The presentation is fascinating and many people of different religions find this experience to be very enlightening.  There will also be a film about the Amish which will give us some insight into the differences between the Amish and the Mennonites.  There will be a brief time to shop in their gift shop before we depart.  We'll have the unique experience of enjoying lunch in an Amish home and later in the day we stop at the JULIUS STURGIS PRETZEL BAKERY.  Our group will enjoy a tour and we will have a hands-on lesson in pretzel twisting and watch bakers twisting old-fashioned soft pretzels by hand.  Included will be a soft pretzel for everyone in our group.  Afterwards shop for some of their delicious treats and souvenirs before we depart.  For great Pennsylvania Dutch shopping we will stop at KITCHEN KETTLE VILLAGE located in Intercourse, Pennsylvania.  Here you will find home-made Lancaster food, fresh baked goods and tasty canned goods.  You may grab a bite to eat here on your own if you wish.  This evening we travel to the SIGHT & SOUND THEATRE for the emotional and entertaining production of JESUS.  This musical stage production is packed with action and adventure and will take you on a journey alongside the most famous person ever to walk the earth.  We will experience first-hand how he changed the lives of everyday people forever.  

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 2019:   After breakfast, we will arrive at the EPHRATA CLOISTER in Ephrata, Pennsylvania.  The Ephrata Cloister was a religious community, established in 1732, by Johann Conrad Beissel at Ephrata.  There will be a short video and then we will have a guided tour of the Saal (Meetinghouse) and the Saron (Sisters' House).  The historic site offers 7 other historic buildings and there will be time for a self-guided tour of these along with time to explore exhibits in the Visitor Center and The Museum Store.  For lunch today we will dine at the SHADY MAPLE SMORGASBORD in East Earl, Pennsylvania.  It is time to depart for home.  There will be a rest stop before we travel on to our dinner stop on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, which is on your own.   We will arrive back to the Lorain Lighthouse United Methodist Church at approximately 8:00 PM.

* These rooms have 2 double beds. 
A deposit of $75.00 per person is required with reservation and full payment is due by Thursday, August 29, 2019.
Reservations will be open until May 31, 2019 for Lorain Lighthouse United Methodist Church members and friends only.  After that date, if there are still seats available, we will open the trip up to other area churches and to the general public.
CANCELLATION FEE:  On or before August 30, 2019 - $75.00 will be retained
                                           Between August 30 and September 13, 2019 - $250.00 will be retained
                                           Between September 14 and September 26, 2019 - No Refund    
The price includes deluxe motorcoach transportation; 2 nights' accommodations; all admissions; 2 breakfasts; 2 lunches (1 in an Amish home and 1 smorgasboard) 1 dinner; and an escort from Footprint Tours, Inc. will accompany the group.  All other meals are at the expense of the passenger.
