TUESDAY, JUNE 26, 2018: Our motorcoach arrives at 7:45 AM to Lorain County Community College, 1005 Abbe Road, Elyria, where we will load luggage and passengers. We will depart at 8:00 AM. Lunch today is on your own at the Pine Grill Restaurant in Somerset, Pennsylvania. We will travel all day and arrive in time to check into our hotel, the CORK FACTORY HOTEL in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. This evening we will dine at the DUTCH APPLE DINNER THEATER and enjoy a performance of the classic, "WIZARD OF OZ."
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 27, 2018: After breakfast, we are off to discover the LANDIS VALLEY VILLAGE & FARM MUSEUM. On this tour we will learn about early gardening folklore and heirloom seeds as we tour the gardens. There will be costumed interpreters demonstrating historic trades and lifestyle and a tour of the Seed Building and Greenhouse. We will enjoy a horse-drawn wagon ride and experience an authentic Victorian tea in an 1856 Landis Valley House Hotel & Tavern. Our tea will feature Scones with Lemon Curd and Clotted Cream, Fresh Fruit, Cucumber with Dill Butter Sandwiches, Feta Chicken Salad Sandwiches, Ham, Brie, and Green Apple Sandwiches, Lemon Cookies, Brownies, Raspberry Rolled-Oat Bars, Yorkshire Gold English Black Tea and Lemony Gunpowder Green Tea. After lunch on our own and some shopping in Lititz, Pennsylvania, we will travel to the SIGHT & SOUND THEATRE for the emotional and entertaining production of JESUS. This musical stage production is packed with action and adventure and will take you on a journey alongside the most famous person ever to walk the earth. We will experience first-hand how he changed the lives of everyday people forever. We will enjoy dinner in the hotel dining room this evening.
THURSDAY, JUNE 28, 2018: After breakfast, we will depart for a tour of the EPHRATA CLOISTER in Ephrata, Pennsylvania. The Ephrata Cloister was a religious community, established in 1732, by Johann Conrad Beissel at Ephrata. There will be a short video and then we will have a guided tour of the Saal (Meetinghouse) and the Saron (Sisters' House). The historic site offers 7 other historic buildings for a self-guided tour along with exhibits in the Visitor Center and The Museum Store. Lunch today will be at the SHADY MAPLE SMORGASBOARD. It is time to depart for home. Our dinner stop will be at a rest stop and is on your own. We will arrive back to the Lorain County Community College at approximately 8:00 PM.
