This is the perfect time of year to visit COOPER'S MILL & MARKET. Our tour through the factory will be educational and an entertaining experience as we move through the factory to learn about the history of Cooper's Mill, and observe firsthand how their delicious fruits are cooked and made into their irresistible jams, jellies and apple butter. There will be plenty of time to shop in their country market and gift shop where they offer a complete line of their quality products. They offer free samples too!
Lunch will be served in the beautifully restored Victorian restaurant, BELLE HOFFMAN HOUSE. Please make a choice of either pot roast with mushroom gravy and smashed potatoes or salmon with dill butter and rice pilaf. All meals come with a delicious salad of romaine, mandarin oranges and almonds, seasonal vegetable, beverage and their fabulous lemon cloud pie for all.
Now let's take some time to explore the downtown area of Bucyrus. There are several stores and shops of interest that you may wish to visit. Copper Kettle, Eric Grohe Murals, Bucyrus Historical Society, Amish Vault Furniture, Normans Niche, Leys Jewelry, Divine Style Boutique, Nothings Better and Pelican Coffee House are some of the specialty stores waiting to say hello to you.
We'll top off our day with a visit to the CRAWFORD ANTIQUE FARM MUSEUM which offers a chance to see farm machinery, tractors and household items from yesteryear. The museum will take us back in time with some items that were in use before tractors. This tour is great for those in the farming industry but please note that "city folk" will find this different way of life very educational and enjoyable.
